Ocean Data Bank – Open Data and Services
Ocean APIverse is an open-data platform maintained by the Ocean Data Bank (ODB) under Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), providing open access to marine information, including geospatial layers and a wide range of Open APIs.

Open API datasets
These Open APIs provide ODB’s primary marine data services. No authentication is required; they can be called directly via Swagger UI, web browsers or code.
ODB CTD API
Nearly 40 years of conductivity-temperature-depth casts from waters around Taiwan, including temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, transmission and fluorescence (~17.4 million records).

Shipboard Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (SADCP) observations of current velocity and direction (u and v components), about 185 million records.

Occurrence records of marine organisms (mainly zooplankton and larval fish) and microplastic samples, ~172,389 records.

Global marine heatwave dataset since 1982, including monthly mean SST, anomalies and heatwave level indices (~534 million records).

Global terrain from the GEBCO grid at 15-arc-second (~400 m) resolution; ~3.748 billion elevation points.

TPXO9-atlas-v5 global tidal model with tidal currents, heights and constituents (~875 million model values).

WOA23 long-term climatologies for temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen and nutrients (~324 million records).

GLODAP v2.2023 seawater bottle data from 1,116 cruises (1972–2021), ~1.49 million measurements across nearly 20 biogeochemical parameters.
